MON – 06/03/19

CONDITIONS: Shin-Knee, Weak, Clean, Hot & Sunny
SURF REPORT:

Good Monday… The surf is micro small, clean and really not rideable except on a Stand Up. The sun is out and the water is nice but the surf is too small today but that could change this week, especially with Invest 91L out there. Here is the latest…

Invest 91-L Located Over The Bay Of Campeche: The shower and thunderstorm activity around Invest 91-L has increased overnight, however, satellite derived surface winds indicate that Invest 91-L does not yet have a well-defined low-level circulation. Analysis of environmental conditions show low wind shear conditions over the southern Bay of Campeche with increasing amounts of wind shear noted just to the north of Invest 91-L. In addition, weather buoys in the southern Bay of Campeche continue to show slowly falling barometric pressures. Rob of Crown Weather says, “I think Invest 91-L will become a tropical depression over the next day or so as it moves to the northwest. From there, I think that a turn to the north looks likely during the day on Tuesday with a possible turn to a more northeasterly direction by about Wednesday. This means that it looks fairly likely that we will see this system ride right along or very close to the entire Texas coast before coming ashore between Lake Charles, Louisiana and High Island, Texas sometime on Thursday as a 40 to 50 mph tropical storm.”
