CONDITIONS: Knee High Chop, Weak, Mix of Clouds & Sun
Good Wednesday… The surf today is really small and weak, knee high wind chop that is really not rideable. We had some rain and thunder earlier and there is a chance for more later today. The surf will remain micro small to flat for the next few days but the water is still really nice so go for a swim or a paddle, it is nice out there…
A tropical wave, which has lost the name 95L, is located near Hispaniola Wednesday morning. Convection has remained disorganized with this wave, and a continued limiting factor for tropical development will be its close proximity to the Greater Antilles and a broad zone of vertical wind shear that will likely prevent any rapid organization. However, there will be a brief window late Friday into Saturday where some development will be possible over the Bahamas and open waters to the north. Regardless, heavy thunderstorms associated with this tropical wave will affect Puerto Rico and Hispaniola today then more of the Bahamas and Florida starting Thursday and continuing into the weekend.
