Good Wednesday… No surf to speak of today as all that is showing is some shin to knee high wind chop that really isn’t rideable at all. The winds have started to ramp up a bit from the SW but they really won’t kick up much more than what we see today for the rest of the week. Unfortunately, SW wind flow usually means the blue water we have enjoyed the past two weeks will likely go bye bye. If you come down, bring a Stand Up, that is the only equipment that has a chance at all of catching the small surf that is hanging around these days.
Areas of strong vertical wind shear, dry stable air and dust extend across much of the southern North Atlantic. These unfavorable atmospheric conditions are expected to limit convective shower and thunderstorm development along and near the current tropical waves moving westward across the Atlantic and Caribbean through the next week or so. As a result, tropical development is not expected across the Atlantic basin through at least Wednesday of next week.
