Good Day… The surf today is reeeeally small with some knee high waves coming in that are maybe and I mean “MAYBE” rideable on a Stand Up if at all. It is another hot day on the beach and really no surf to speak of. The forecast is calling for some surf to fill in for the weekend as the pressure gradient makes a change, but we will have to see but if it is right, there could be some thigh to waist high waves to play on by Saturday. Keep an eye on the cams, but not much today!!
The tropical Atlantic remains free of organized areas of low pressure and current information suggests that there will not be any tropical development through the weekend. Expansive areas of dry, dusty air and unfavorable wind shear continue to suppress tropical cyclone formation across the basin and this is expected to continue through the weekend. There are several tropical waves traversing the basin, though these unfavorable conditions will prevent any further development with these. Indications point towards a reduction in dust and wind shear next week, though at this point, we have no specific concerns for development.
